Bold in the Bedroom
(Dear Googlers: Please be warned that the content of this post might be different than what you were expecting.)
Look what Kat did while Tom and I were away for the weekend:
After our little painting adventure in the living room last week, we decided to step it up a bit and put some bold color in the bedroom. Kat asked if she could paint our room while we were gone, saying she needed a relatively non-cerebral outlet after studying so much recently. We readily agreed!
You like?
She texted us on Monday, insisting that our old fan was completely out of style so we picked one up at Home Depot on our way home and Tom installed it last night.
She even lent us the family prints I made for her a few years ago…
… and got creative with the hat-box-decoupage that Elisabeth made me years ago for Mother’s Day.
And she dressed up the treasured photos of our names spelled out in rocks on the beach that our German exchange student, Laura, gave us.
Tom and I disagreed about what, if anything to put on the wall above the bed. It had to be lightweight, of course, because we live in earthquake country. I picked out these “fake pussy willows” (made with gauze!) at World Market.
…and I inserted them into framing rings that I screwed into the wall.
Tom thinks that we need “more” to offset the bold wall, but I think that in this case, less is more. And hey, I have veto power indoors (don’t worry; he has it outdoors), so I’m exercising it!
Thanks Kat! I love it – and you!
Next project: some muted green for the fireplace wall (my favorite Tom-creation!) in the family room downstairs.

Pyramid Scheme American Diamond Traders.....
WARNING: DO NOT SEND YOUR MONEY TO ADT, YOU WILL LOSE EVERYTHING IN THE END. THIS CASE IS TOO OBVIOUS, THIS IS A QUICK START UP WITH THE INTENTION TO GET PEOPLES MONEY FAST AND THEN CLOSE DOWN. 1. THEY DO NOT HAVE A BUSINESS LOCATION! 2. THEY DO NOT HAVE A REGISTERED BUSINESS IN THE STATE OF WASHINGTON IN THE USA! 3. THEY DO NOT MEET THE LEGAL REQUIREMENTS WHICH MEANS THEY ARE OPERATING A PYRAMID SCHEME!
very nice
yep, that wall in the basement will lighten up with some accent colors too. Looking forward to those result pictures ;)
