What proportion of “mankind” can afford $110 jeans?
Seriously? “ALL MANKIND”? I don’t think so! Seven Jeans Company, when’s the last time you gave any thought to, say, Somalia, Zimbabwe, Bangladesh, or Rwanda?
This is bad marketing at its worst, in my opinion. It’s pompous, snotty, holier-than-thou, completely out-of-touch, and – well, a blatant, bold-faced, insulting lie.
(And really, who even uses the term “mankind” anymore?!)
My body is not worthy of that expensive a jean! I can't imagine why I would need them. I did pay quite a bit for my Calvin Klein jeans but they fit me SO well.(and that's rare)
ReplyDeleteIn Germany, even Levis cost about $100.....
ReplyDeleteUhhh isn't that (rather slovenly) jeans display at COSTCO? So not only do you get to pay $100+ for them, you have to pay a membership to even get into the store, then you have to dig through piles of clothes to find sizes, and there's no fitting room anywhere nearby?
ReplyDeleteyeesh, if I wanted to buy designer jeans I'd at least go to Nordstrom where I don't need a membership and I can be waited on and have a nice changing room to contemplate my purchase. Actually I've seen VERY nice jeans at Nordstrom for much cheaper than $100.
These jeans have been around forever, but used to be at $250+. Even when I was thinner, I could never wear them- it was more a straight up and down style.Pompous name, yes.
