All fired up at PaintAway
As a surprise for her birthday, I brought Elisabeth to PaintAway to create a ceramic masterpiece.
She chose to paint a big mug…
…while I chose to make a “match-up” teapot for Tom for our upcoming anniversary.
It was a quiet afternoon at PaintAway, so we had the place all to ourselves.
When we were finished, we left our “masterpieces” at PaintAway to be fired.
(We also left a godawful mess.)
Fast forward a week or so and… voila!

Your pieces look very cool! We have done that at our local mall(went out of business) and in Tacoma(went out of business) and then in Bellingham(still in business I hope!) It was very fun.
I'd never be able to paint something decent on ceramics I fear. Some abstract lines but that's it.
And I'd be worried that I'd be under the paint myself
nevertheless it's a very original activity! Seems like a lot of fun to do.
