One Thousand Posts!

About two and a half years ago, on July 13, 2006, I decided on a spur-of-the-moment whim to start a blog. I posted a silly little nothing about being well on my way to 50, thinking that a quiet little blog might be a good way for me to slowly get used to the idea by recording my thoughts -- and perhaps sharing them with a few others.

Who would have known that I'd eventually reach over a thousand posts and welcome well over 30,000 visitors from 122 countries? Certainly not I! I mean seriously, I write about nothing of monumental importance, I have no real theme to my blog, and I certainly lack all the marketing tricks that promise to bring me great blogging wealth that would allow me to quit my job (now is this funny, or what?!) as a technical project manager in marketing and content development. (Ha! I have yet to make a single penny from this blog.)

I often feel guilty that said job above has left me very little time for writing the thoughtful, well-constructed posts that I used to write when I was seeking said all-encompassing job mentioned above.

But it is what it is and I do what I can do.

I thought I'd take this opportunity to bring back a few of my favorite posts from the past two and a half years. In no particular order, here they are. Hope you enjoy them -- either as a first or a subsequent read.
