And president is just one of the things I'm voting on. There are also elections for state offices, local propositions, judicial positions, ordinances, etc.
yes Goofball, there are elections every year at the same time (second Tuesday in November following the first monday), the things being decided vary depending on which offices are up for election and where you live. So on a ballot you will have things ranging from the presidential election (every four years)to state propositions and local elections. So you may be voting for the president, state-wide issues/offices like Senator or proposed state initiatives all the way down to your local council person. All on the same ballot. Abby

of course I meant the FIRST tuesday after the first monday! Also primary elections mid-year.
