Even my laptop has gone through withdrawals! When I turn it on now, it begs for an internet connection, as if it needs its fix! Fortunately, I was able to connect for the first time today, courtesy of family (my cousin's family and my god-daughter) in Dillenburg. So finally I'll be able to write a few words as well as post a slideshow.
I wish I'd been keeping a journal! But as is often the case when one travels, the days are just so jam-packed that there's no down time to write. By the end of the day, we just fall into our beds, tired from walking and sightseeing (as well as from beer drinking!)... and it starts all over again the next day.
Here's a slide show of our trip so far (68 of the 1600 photos we've taken so far, after week #1!):
Wow!!! Gorgeous photos! And it looks like you're having a wonderful time. Is that your dad there in one photo?
ReplyDeleteThe photos are so great you could publish a book of them when you get back. I love the mountain landscapes and that photo of the children sleeping in the wagon is fabulous!
The slide show is wonderful! It's getting me so excited for our February trip.
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures! Makes me itch to get back home once again. If it just wasn't for the endless plane ride. Sigh!
ReplyDeleteloved the photos..........using a link through Picasa is neat. Also see our SE Asian odyssey...... http://oldfartz-on-tour.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteHad not thought of using Picasa....NEAT!!
Weather looks great, mostly.....so far too.
I think you've done fantastically even blogging at ALL while you're travelling. You really have inspired me to start saving for a trip to Europe.
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures! I love Garmisch. And even Partenkirchen!
ReplyDeleteIt was cool seeing a picture of Augsburg, it must be ten years since I was there.
Likewise, pictures of Rothenburg o.d.T. are always welcome.
I can't wait to see your pictures of Herborn/Dillenburg. NOBODY ever posts pictures from there!
