...but I just have to say that I am sickened by Bush's actions today. I'm embarrassed, I'm disgusted, I'm ashamed, I'm appalled and I'm mortified.
A democracy? Any country where the president has this sort of power and can blatantly ignore the laws of the courts and country he leads can hardly be called a democracy. It's looking more like a dictatorship with every asinine "I'm the decider" move Bush makes.
The gall! Where are the checks and balances that are supposed to prevent this sort of above-the-law take-over in our country? What happened to the country my parents immigrated to in the 50's? What happened to liberty and justice for all? Do privilege and money now dictate and determine who must follow the law and who is pardoned and exempted from our courts and our laws?
Really, if you're not outraged, you are not paying attention.
I think we need another "I'm sorry" website that we can all contribute to so the world doesn't think that the citizens of this great country actually support the buffoon...
ha ha - I'm here commenting on your blog while you're over there commenting on mine. I can't really make any sensible remark that relates to your blog post because I don't know what your president has done now -
ReplyDeleteBut - I'm just here to dare you to post a picture of you pregnant with your twins - 7and 8 pounds is an AMAZING feat! (I love twin pregnancy photos).
well Bush's smart move did make European headlines.
ReplyDeletemaybe he was inspired by his 'democratic' colleague Poeting who was paying him a visit. Good buddies together, sharing some good ideas.
Grrrr. Nope, I am not a Bush fan either!
All I can say is that it's making me sick. There is no end to the gall of that man. Words cannot convey my disgust. That news after seeing the movie Sicko yesterday makes me long to stay in bed with the covers pulled over my head.
ReplyDeleteI'm livid over it. Simply livid but absolutely not surprised. I would guarantee that Libby's keeping his mouth shut about the likes of Karl Rove in exchange for him not going to the pokey.
ReplyDeleteYou don't need to be a big fan of conspiracy theories to work out that this ballet was planned from the start. Scooter hat to fall on his sword in public but with the assurance that he would be rescued when the time came.
ReplyDeleteI am so ashamed of the cowardice of the American people not to stand up to this kind of behavior... I find myself lying about my nationality (try, to my shame, to pass as Canadian unter certain circumstances) and keeping a low profile when I wander through the Muslim districts here.
