Tom was called in the middle of the night last week ("good-looking, middle age men wanted...") to do a rush, last-minute job for an insurance company training video in which he'd be required to just lay there for three days. Kinda the perfect modeling job, eh? Unfortunately, Tom said "I'll call work in the morning and make sure my boss knows about it" instead of "I'll be there, I promise," and he was replaced at the last second. Grrrrr! Would have funded some fun family activities in Hawaii next month!
But -- I might have an opportunity to save the day!
This came into my inbox from the agency yesterday: "Getty Audition / Plus size" We are looking for people who are larger than normal - not skinny. This audition is in Seattle on Monday 11/13 from 3:00 - 5:30pm. If you would be interested in audition for this stock print job. Pay is normally around 100.00 per hour if you get it."
So I sent in a few silly snapshots -- one of me mock-modeling (taken when Kat, Elisabeth and I visited a hat store in San Francisco) and one of my on my last birthday (I've aged a lot since then... sigh!), and I have an audition tomorrow!
Cross your fingers for me; my almost 50-year-old menopausal self-esteem could sorely use this!
Wow! What a fun opportunity! Hope you get the gig!
