Game Night

After a delicious Thai curry dinner made by Chef Peter this evening (all six of us were actually home -- a rarity, with jobs, school, friends, etc.), he, Danelle and I -- and the cutest little kibbitzer, Bailey -- decided to play an impromptu game of Upwords. Fun.

Tomorrow I have a one-day stint for the online early reading company I've talked about (yes, of course I'm hoping for a job there!), producing 13 short training videos for podcasting.

I'm pretty sure that it will be a bittersweet day. I'll be working with a production company and a crew that I adore and it'll bring back really happy memories of producing FUEL and CHILL. I have a feeling that I'll leave there desperately wanting to go back into the video production end of kids' media because live production really is exciting in a way that digital production never can be. Though when you're bringing a really exciting concept to life digitally, that's exciting in a way that live production can't match.

I guess what it comes down to is that what I really love is taking an idea and turning it into something that's real for kids -- that inspires and educates -- regardless of the medium. Maybe it's good to have some of these experiences now so I can really hone in on exactly what I want to do when I grow up.

Which will be in (YIKES!) just a few short weeks!!
